Melinda Kalmár is a senior research fellow at the Department of History, University of Szeged. Her main fields of research are the operation and ideology of 20th century authoritarian systems; the formation and operation of the Soviet and Soviet variant systems and their civilizational contexts, information and communication policy, culture, cultural policy and cultural institutions, celebrations, cults, symbolism.
